Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep gratitude to Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev for showing strong support to Pakistan during its recent conflict with India. In a meeting with Azerbaijan’s ambassador, PM Shehbaz appreciated the brotherly ties between the two countries and highlighted their shared commitment to peace and cooperation.
He praised Pakistan’s Armed Forces for their successful military operation and emphasized the country's desire for peace while remaining ready to defend itself. The PM also pointed to growing Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations, especially after President Aliyev’s visit to Pakistan in 2024, which helped boost economic and trade ties.
